The second day of DFW commenced with the highly anticipated launch of Mrs. Keepa Studio-Couture SS 24, in collaboration with Sotheby’s Dubai, captivating audiences with avant-garde designs inspired by underwater creatures. The ‘Inhale Collection’ featured mesmerising shapes, textures, and movements reminiscent of ethereal Sea Lilies and fluid Sea Nettles, exploring the theme of escapism in a visually stunning manner. Dyson’s introduction of the all-new Dyson Airstrait™️ straightener added a touch of technological innovation to the runway, marking a groundbreaking moment in fashion week history.
Adding a touch of innovation, Humariff showcased a collection developed in collaboration with students from the Humariff Academy, capturing the beauty of mirages in the desert. The unique pieces, adorned with blooming flowers, rhinestones, beads, and sequins, evoked the changing seasons and offered a glimpse into the designer’s creative process.
On day three, Riva launched its highly anticipated Ramadan Collection 2024, featuring traditional pieces with modern twists, embodying the spirit of the month with luxurious materials and elegant designs. Michael Cinco celebrated cultural diversity and self-expression, showcasing a collection inspired by various cultures, countries, architectures, and traditions. Fabrics expertly blended, printed, layered, pleated, and adorned with intricate embroidery told a story of harmony and royalty, captivating audiences with a spectrum of vibrant hues and exquisite craftsmanship.
SELFMADE reinforced her mastery of denim across edgy streetwear pieces, reflecting a modern urban vibe. The designer’s technical aptitude for jeans washing and textile technology was apparent across the collection, with models showcasing a range of daily streetwear ensembles infused with bold colours and innovative designs.
Off the runway, the Threads Fashion Brunch provided a platform for fashion gatekeepers to celebrate creative excellence within the region, fostering collaboration and learning. The highly exclusive Lama Jouni Party x Dubai Fashion Week offered guests a glimpse into the latest fashion trends and designs, showcasing the talent of celebrity designer Lama Jouni and providing an avenue for industry professionals to connect.
