Sustainability Italian agrifood proposal from Abruzzo Region
In the name of sustainability, the Italian Abruzzo region, and 22 of its most dynamic agri-food enterprises, will be the protagonist of a week of presentations, tastings and a busy meetings agenda.
The name of the event is “Abruzzo Sostenibile” and its aim is to promote partnerships with UAE and international businesses, in the context of Expo 2020. Abruzzo Sostenibile will last from the 7 to the 12 of February.
The opening event will be held on Monday February 7 at the Hilton Hotel JBR (12:30): 100 sustainable agri- food products made in Abruzzo will be presented to media and opinion leaders for a reasoned tasting, in the Unico pop-up space, within the new Vero Restaurant.
Abruzzo Sostenibile is part of the special 12h Italian (Sustainable) Cuisine World Summit started in November last year, which will be concluded by the end of March. The tasting will be preceded by an introduction of the Abruzzo sostenibile initiative to the media by the Abruzzo Region Vice President, Emanuele Imprudente, and by Giuseppe Savini and Antonio Morgante, respectively the President and the Director of Arap, the regional entity that is promoting the event in Dubai.
“Abruzzo is one of the greenest regions of Italy, it’s a brand, and our agri-food enterprises take the commitment to sustainability seriously, they may also be a model for other countries”, says Emanuele Imprudente. The mission of the Abruzzo Sostenibile in Dubai is making more recognisable the Abruzzo brand and its agri-food production: consumers must feel guaranteed about its sustainability and quality, and businesses partner comfortable with its viability. The Abruzzo Sostenibile initiative will include a wine tasting, masterclasses and B2B meetings.
